Have a great idea that you think would make a great idea for the Solis software? Post it here, discuss it with your fellow users and see if they can refine it even more. State the section the enhancement idea applies to (Editor, Transactions, Reports), how you feel it should be implemented and what you would use the new enhancement to accomplish.
We take a look at all enhancement requests that are posted here prior to designing the next version or finalizing service packs. As suggestions here get implemented we will remove the relevant comments to keep this area to new ideas.
So discuss! No ideas are too big or too small, we want to hear from you!
End of Day or Shift Change.
Can employee see if drawer is over or under which will allow recounting to find mistakes? Normal Operation for some employees, they have to count twice.
Also ability to save shift change or End of Day reports to a pdf file an allow saving on server instead of printing on paper that normally gets thrown away after owners review.
Merchandise prices, wholesale verse retail, is there somewhere shows Markup %. Helpful when setting retail prices determining a discount percent. Will show me I am still making money if I set a retail price and allow for a percent discount. Also great if it would show the employee discount as well.
Service prices.
Possible to make variable with a set minimum?
Can service commission be split between two stylist or removed from one stylist and given to a different stylist.
Sometimes customer comes back to get haircut/color fixed but another stylist will be the performer. Need ability to switch the performer of orginal sale to the performer that had to fix.
Need a tip function. Our salon has converted from booth rental to commission based and lots of tips now included when customer check out. Currently we have work arounds for this.
Do not want to include tips and part the the business cash flow. Want to be aable to give cash (tip) back to the cliet to hand over to the sytlist. Builds a better relationship between customer and stylist.
The ability to have a Customer Loyalty Section.
Count monthly packages a client purchased during a time frame (normaly previous year) Ability to give a % discount for each monthly package purchased. Use accumulated % discount for package or lotion purchases the following year up to a Maxium (50% for packages and 25% for lotions). Would also need to have Customer Loyalty computed and shown in each clients profile and calcuated when checking out.
Would also be great to automatically compute and discount instead of employees remembering to add it. Example on every Thurday night we have family night. 25% off all hair cuts only. Sometimes we had employees give 25% of everything or forget to give the 25% off.
Possible to add the ability to connect to a web site and view the daily/monthly/yearly performance reports with out having to remote desktop.
Does anyone know how to void a transaction?
Under the sale search scree, lower left-hand explorer bar is the refund sale function. There is no “void”, you have to refund the corresponding item.
